Mr. Jay was very courteous, patient, helpful and thorough; not to mention his self-confidence and auto knowledge. After two previous days of auto window shopping before arriving at Stohlman, I finally decided on what sales tempo/pitch would satisfy me. I had already decided on what I wanted in a new vehicle. We were specifically looking for a black Turbo Beetle convertible with a tan top. We also wanted the more retro styled high performance wheels. We shopped 3 VW dealerships, one being Stohlman, and spoke with salesmen regarding our requests. Erik's attitude and professionalism stood out above the rest! He located the car we were looking for, the wheels we wanted and made our wish come true! Upon getting the car, Erik was very patient and thorough showing me all of the exciting and new options the Beetle has to offer! Our overall experience was great! Our first Beetle came from Stohlman and due to their professionalism and terrific customer service we will continue give them, and Erik our business!

Adam Abdullah, Marcus Turner, and the rest of the Stohlman Auto staff I worked with when purchasing a pristine 2003 Subaru Legacy L Special Edition were all very professional, friendly, and helpful in their service. Adam was my primary contact for this purchase; his demeanor was accommodating, honest and forthright throughout the transaction. I never felt subjected to the sometimes aggressive salesmanship of other dealerships I have visited. The sale didn't require any sort of haggling -- a rarity in my car-buying experiences -- and Adam has since taken the time to follow up to make sure everything is going well with the car so far. Bob, Bob, Bob What can I say? Yesterday I received the okay to drive for the first time since my fall in late February. And the absolute joy I experienced of taking that first drive in my brand-new 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon is only surpassed by my appreciation of the work you did to make it possible. From my first contact with you discussing the vehicle I was looking for through the many twists and turns caused by the protracted issues surrounding my medical concerns you, Bob were first rate. Your patience, attention to detail and prompt responses to what were sometimes my confused and redundant questions made the process of shopping long-distance from a hospital room not only bearable but pleasurable. I only regret that I ultimately did not get to Washington to pick up the car in person. As for my Subaru Outback Wagon itself, I cannot believe how perfectly the color matches the earth around our New Mexico home. And Connie still enthuses over the pleasure she had driving back across the country bringing our new car home, except for the bad roads back East. My first drive was brief, by New Mexico standards. Just 45 miles from our home in San Jose to Santa Fe, 3 miles of dirt road to the frontage road and then the rest on interstate. The car takes the dirt road really nicely and is as smooth as silk on the interstate. Connie had to drive home because I was a little tired out by the end of day. But we are 100% satisfied at this point and see no reason we shouldn't remain so. Thank you immensely for for the best car purchasing experience I've ever had (except for the hospital part). Note: I am not recommending the service department. My experience with sales and finance was amazingly painless and efficient. It was the total opposite at the service center. They advertised parts on sale but then didn't honor it. Not a national sale, their own service center parts sale. They came back and said it was only offered on the internet although there was nothing online indicating so. Overpriced. I am very well aware that servicing a vehicle at the dealership will cost more than most places. But to be charged $230 for the installation of window vents is absolutely insane. Only went ahead because this was a new car and the appointment was already made. Asked to have the vehicle cleaned and appears only the outside was washed. Not sure if that's all they normally do but I thought a thorough vacuuming of the interior would be included considering I specified that. Asked to remove their dealer sticker, they complied that they would but then did not. Service rep lied as to the difficulty of the job. Was going to purchase a part (rear bumper cover) and asked if it was simply installed with adhesive. Service Rep told me there was more to it and was going to charge for the install. Bought the part only, at cost and not their own advertised sale price and it turned out it was only adhesive so I was fortunate that I didn't have them install the part and gouge me a little more. Unfortunate that I was lied to. We really thought the hard part of buying a new car would be at the showroom. How wrong I was. Other than that, they were sufficiently courteous.

We showed up late at night, just as the dealership was closing, and he was happy to allow us to take a test drive and answer all our questions. It was primarily due to his professionalism that we chose to buy a VW product and not a Mercedes or BMW. Keep up the great work!

Scott Maynard handled my GTI sale very quickly and professionally. He knows the VW product line very well. He got me the car I wanted at a good price, without any haggling or hassle. Too often, sales guys are trying to push the cars on their own lots -- with little regard for the desires of the buyer. He's the best car salesman that I've dealt with over my 50 or so years purchasing cars. Highly recommend Scott -- he's a first rate car guy.

We loved buying our car here earlier this year. Thomas Calvert, our salesman, was exceptional in regards to the quality of service he provided and time he devoted to us. However, servicing our car here for the first time has been awful. No one in the service area seems committed to providing us with a prompt and polite experience. We made sure to call and ask for an appointment on a Saturday, and were told none were needed since it is an "express service job". Just to pull up and we would be out within the hour. An hour and a half later, of our own volition we went to check on the status of our car and the paperwork was just sitting on the desk. When we inquired "how long has our car been done" there was no response from either of the two service members. We were quite effectively, ignored. This is unacceptable. Furthermore, when we got into the car, we noticed grease marks on the seat. Bringing this to the attention of our handler, they quickly worked to fix the issue but were told "there is only so much they can do". Again, unacceptable. As we left, there was finally a half-hearted "have a nice day" but by that time, the damage was already done. The price was great, since it comes free with our car purchase. But I would never pay to be treated this way, and the grease spots? You can still see them.
